NOTICE: MHT CET 2020 Examination Dates

Government of Maharashtra state Common Entrance Test Cell has Announced New exam date for MHT CET 2020. MHT CET will be now conducted from July 4, 2020.

MHT CET 2020, is scheduled on the dates viz. 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st July and 3rd,  4th & 5th August 2020.

The MHT CET 2020 examination will be conducted in PCM and PCB group seperately. MHT CET PCM and PCB group time table will be announced by mid June 2020 once the validation of examination Test Centers will be over.

The Maharastra Common Entrance Test for Engineering, Pharmacy, Pharm D., B. Planning Courses

The examination will be conducted at various centres across the Maharashtra by Online mode (Computer Based Test) tentatively from 13th April, 2020 (Monday) To  17th April, 2020 (Friday) & 20th April, 2020 (Monday) To 23rd April, 2020 (Thursday) 

Important Instructions to the MHT-CET 2020 candidates appearing for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) Group 

The MHT CET on Line Question Paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options (answers) for each question. 



Each MHT CET question will have Four alternatives (answers) out of which only one alternative/answer will be the correct.

Physics, Chemistry subjects will have 1 mark for each question and Mathematics subject will have 2 marks for each question.

Total duration for the MHT-CET Examination is 180 Minutes in which the Candidate has to solve 150 questions.

The Questions will be displayed on the computer screen one at a time.  Candidates are advised not to spend too much time on any particular question. 

Important Instructions to the MHT-CET 2020 candidates appearing for Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) Group

The MHT CET On Line Question Paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four options (answers) for each question.

Each MHT CET question will have four alternatives (answers) out of which only one alternative Answer will be the correct.

MHT CET Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects will have 1 mark for each question.

Total duration for the MHT-CET Examination is 180 Minutes in which the Candidate has to solve 200 questions.

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) will have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology question papers.

The MHT CET questions will be based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std. XII curriculum while setting the question paper. 



There will be no Negative Marking, however difficulty level will be at par with the JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at par with NEET. The questions will be mainly application based.

MHT-CET will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and each paper will be of 100 marks. Details are as given below:

Language of MHT CET Question Paper: The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, Mathematics paper shall be in English only.

MHT CET Physics and Chemistry papers will be of 50 marks each.

MHT CET Mathematics and Biology papers will be of 100 marks each.

Candidates who wish to take admission in engineering programs through MHT CET 2020 will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and  Mathematics papers.

Candidates who wish to take admission in Pharamacy courses through MHT CET 2020 will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology papers.

MHT-CET will be conducted in two groups i.e. PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). The question papers are multiple choice questions (MCQ) having 4 options and the question and marking system is as follows:  

There shall be no negative marking.
