The Maharastra common entrance test

The examination will be conducted at various centres across the Maharashtra by Online mode (Computer Based Test) tentatively from 2nd May, 2019 to 13th
May, 2019

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test will have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology question papers.

The questions will be based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std. XII curriculum while setting the question paper.

There will be no Negative Marking, however difficulty level will be at par with the JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at par with NEET. The questions will be mainly application based.

MHT-CET will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and each paper will be of 100 marks. Details are as given below:

Language of Question Paper: The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, Mathematics paper shall be in English only.

Physics and Chemistry papers will be of 50 marks each.

Mathematics and Biology papers will be of 100 marks each.

Candidates who wish to take admission in engineering programs through MHT CET 2018 will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and  Mathematics papers.

Candidates who wish to take admission in Pharamacy courses through MHT CET 2018 will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology papers.

There is no choice among the questions, i.e. all questions have to be answered.  The Candidates will be provided one OMR Answer Sheet and Question Booklet. At the end of paper, candidate will hand-over the OMR Answer sheet and Question booklet to the invigilator. No candidate is allowed to leave the examination Hall till the end of examination. Each question with correct response shall be awarded one (1) marks.

There shall be no negative marking.
